Asia Pacific in-person Workshop on Forced Migration

An Asia Pacific in-person Workshop on Forced Migration will be held from the 12th to the 14th of September in Bangkok. The workshop is in collaboration with the Asia Pacific Refugee Rights Network (APRRN) and the Asia Displacement Solutions Platform (ADSP).


The three days in-person workshops will bring together NGOs in the region, from the three networks, with ICVA's global forced migration colleagues to discuss key challenges and opportunities, build networks, identify and exchange for collective action and advocacy in the area of forced migration. This workshop will give specific focus to the following regional and global issues: 

  1. Key policy processes and opportunities for NGOs such as UNHCR Global and Regional Consultations with NGOs and the UN Secretary-General Action Agenda on Internal Displacement
  2. The Support Platform for the Solutions Strategy for Afghan Refugees (SSAR);
  3. The preparations for and engagement with the second Global Refugee Forum in 2023.
