The UN Network on Migration workstream on Alternatives to Detention, under the platform of the GCM Talks, is planning the fourth global online peer learning exchange among governments on 24 May 2023.

This event is co-hosted by the Permanent Missions of Colombia and Portugal to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, and will provide an opportunity to further realize the commitments made in the International Migration Review Forum Progress Declaration to consider progress and challenges in working to end the practice of child detention in the context of international migration. This exchange will be held under the Chatham House Rule and participation is limited to governmental actors from different levels and to members of the workstream. Please find attached the concept note and provisional agenda. All updated information will be available here.
