Cooperation: The Nippon Foundation
Over 2200 people from Ukraine have fled to Japan due to the war in Ukraine since last February. Among those, 2000 people who have a family member, an acquaintance or support from the community in Japan have been permitted to enter Japan with a short-term visa and apply for renewable 1-year immigration status after arrival. On March 7th, an online seminar will be held to take stock of the current situation of refugees from Ukraine in Japan. Simultaneous English interpretation is available.
The details and registration form are in the link below. The content might focus more on a review of the situations around hosting refugees from Ukraine from the Japanese context, but please feel free to join along.
