We are pleased to present the Southeast Asia Refugee Mental Health Training Report, which follows the training held in Bangkok, June 2012.
The Training Course considered the psychological consequences of war and human rights violations on refugees. Traumatic refugee experiences place this vulnerable group at elevated risk of developing mental health problems.
Unfortunately the mental health needs of refugees are not often a priority. This report considers the gaps in knowedge and experience which must be addressed in order to effectively support refugees experiencing mental health issues.
