Coronavirus Forces Disaster Planning Rethink as Storm Threats Rise

Vanuatu: Since Cyclone Harold struck in April, Vanuata has kept its borders closed affecting access to international aid and leaving the island to rely on local actors more than ever. The combination of  coronavirus, climate disasters and the geographical location of the island has led to an exacerbation of existing problems, especially for more marginalised groups like women and girls, people with disabilities, and migrants.
